The East End
The East End is a London suburb and is North of the River Thames. It is about 10-15 minutes by underground train from central London. It has people from many different cultures. It is also a student area. The East End used to be one of the poorest parts of London. Now it has become a very lively and popular area, especially for young people. There are three universities in the area, and a lot of young people study and live there. Its attractions include: Brick Lane, famous for its Indian restaurants, markets, and the Whitechapel art gallery. The area of Shoreditch is also famous for its exciting nightlife.
