Docklands is an area of London that was once part of the Port of London. It is located in the east of London. The area was redeveloped after 1980, when all docks were closed. It is now a fashionable area, with many old industrial buildings transformed into flats. Canary Wharf, a busy financial and commercial area, is the symbol of the Docklands’ redevelopment. It also hosts England second-highest building, 1 Canada Square.
